GLOVER BROTHERS RACING SOLID IN GATORZ OPENER

Western Canadian karting team take Lewis Hamilton Kart to Gatorz for another successful weekend of winter racing


Chilliwack, BC - GBR Karting, the exclusive North American importer of the Lewis Hamilton Kart, headed to the opening round of the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas held in Tucson, Arizona on January 28-30. Overall it was a very successful weekend for the GBR crew, who entered three drivers in three classes. This included Jeff Fulham in Mini-Max, Zachary Scalzo in Junior Max and Daniel Burkett in DD2. All drivers ran on a GBR powered LH Kart including Scalzo who ran the new LH3, the latest in chassis technology designed to perform better on modern tires. The LH3 is a combination of 28mm and 30mm tubing to create a very tunable and drivable platform.

GBR KARTING PREPARING THREE DRIVERS FOR ROTAX GRAND FINALS

Western Canadian based team will have Glover, Herder and Burkett at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals representing the Lewis Hamilton brand


Chilliwack, BC - GBR Kart Racing Inc. (GBR) of Chilliwack, British Columbia, the official North American distributor for the Lewis Hamilton chassis, will be represented at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals by three drivers. With only two weeks to go until the big show, GBR is hard at work preparing three drivers for the biggest Rotax race of the year. GBR started the year on a new product, which could have gone either way, but as soon as they got the Lewis Hamilton Karts on the track in Phoenix in January, the team knew they had something special. Though the team results were mixed during those first few races at the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas, they did show serious speed and matched that effort as they rolled into the Western Canadian Championship. GBR drivers making Team Canada will be Chris Glover from Vancouver, British Columbia in Senior Max, Kyle Herder from Toronto, Ontario in DD2 Max and Daniel Burkett of Winnipeg, Manitoba also in DD2 Max. With three drivers from three different parts of the country, the national scale of the GBR Karting program is not hard to see.

GBR KARTING TO MAKE NATIONALS APPEARANCE

Western Canadian winning team to bring four drivers to the Canadian Championships as they bring new Lewis Hamilton program to the national stage


Chilliwack, BC - GBR Kart Racing Inc. (GBR) of Chilliwack, British Columbia, the official North American distributor for the Lewis Hamilton chassis, are bringing a four driver effort to Canada's biggest kart race. The 2011 ASN Canada FIA Canadian National Championships take place this weekend with official on track action beginning today as drivers run through practice, followed by qualifying, heat races, prefinals and then ending with the finals on Sunday. With four drivers in four classes, the GBR Karting crew will be hard at work. A centerpiece to the program is bringing the potent Lewis Hamilton chassis to national attention. A key collaboration between Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton and CRG Spa, the LH chassis is proving to be a perfect fit for the North American racing arena. Taking the WCC Senior Max and DD2 Max title in its first season of action, the combination of GBR and LH are bound for more podium placements.

British Columbia karting team rolls east to Calgary to take in the final weekend of western RMax action with several drivers in contention

The WCC final weekend takes place at 1.1 km Varsity Speed Park, home of the Calgary Kart Racing Club, host for the critical final weekend of regional Rmax competition. GBR heads into the final weekend with four drivers in a position to earn a championship title. For some classes an invitation to the 2011 edition of Team Canada and a trip to the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals is on the line.

The weekend saw GBR Karting hit the podium seven times as all GBR Karting drivers ran well and kept near the front of their class. While the weekend ended in controversy, the GBR Karting team represented the LH Kart brand well as they set their sights on Western Canadian Championship titles.

Running at the Formula K Raceway in Glendale, Arizona and hosted by the Phoenix Kart Racing Association, the opening double-header race weekend was the first opportunity for the championship winning operation to run the new LH chassis. The GBR crew fielded three drivers on the new program and three drivers on the existing Arrow chassis. Solid run in final event of WCC keeps rookie Daniel Burkett in the top ten in championship points standing

Burkett Racing Enterprises of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the exclusive Canadian distributor of Hole Shot Drive Systems and dealer for the Arrow chassis, wrapped up the 2010 Western Canadian Challenge at Stratotech Raceway located 30 minutes north of Edmonton, AB. The third year karting team has been growing over the past 12-months and looks to keep that pace going through the end of 2010. Leading the team on track was Daniel Burkett who made the move Rotax Senior Max just prior to the opening round in Chilliwack, BC. After six hard fought rounds, Burkett would end up nicely inside the top ten in his freshman year in senior. Landing in eighth spot in the finally points tally, just one of out of seventh and four out of sixth, gives Burkett some great momentum as he looks to end off the 2010 season on high note.

BURKETT RACING STANDS ON PODIUM IN WCC ACTION

Fantastic results at Western Canadian Challenge sees Daniel Burkett hit the podium in regional action

The team was on hand to compete in the double-header weekend looking to improve on a great start to the 2010 campaign that began in Chilliwack, BC. Team driver Daniel Burkett continued his impressive debut in Senior Rotax as he raced at the front all weekend and hit the top five twice including a third place finish in Sunday round four action. Burkett made the move to Rotax Senior Max the day before the opening race of the WCC and set his sites on success as the youngest competitor in the senior ranks having turned 15 at the end of February. Goals for the weekend in the soggy prairie province were to be in the top five throughout the weekend.
