Chilliwack, BC - GBR Karting of Chilliwack, British Columbia, is now the official North American Distributor for the Lewis Hamilton line of kart racing chassis. The Lewis Hamilton kart is a key collaboration between FIA Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton and CRG Karting of Italy. Those that know motor racing know of Hamilton’s early days in karting and his love the sport that helped to create the foundation for his success at the highest levels motorsports. CRG Karting has been building winning kart chassis for over 30 years and remains one of the key marks in the karting industry. In 2008 CRG Karting homologated the “LH” chassis line and began to develop the program through out the world. Adding the Lewis Hamilton kart to an already successful program gives GBR Karting customers the latest in Italian and European chassis design and engineering. With the addition of a second chassis line comes new opportunities to expand the popular GBR Karting trackside program and increase customer service across the country.

A big part of the GBR Karting program is the trackside support that just returned from the SKUSA SuperNationals held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada. GBR Karting will continue to provide trackside service and support programs to any driver competing in the 2011 Gatorz Challenge of the Americas, Western Canadian Challenge, Eastern Canadian Karting Championship and the ASN Canada FIA Canadian National Karting Championships. In 2010, the GBR Karting trackside support program helped Garett Grist, the 2009 Canadian National Rotax Junior Max Champion, to win the 2010 Western Canadian Challenge in Rotax Junior Max. Arrive and Drive programs are available for the 2011 season for both the LH and Arrow chassis.
With product on the way, GBR Karting personnel are preparing to head south for preseason testing at Phoenix Raceway located just outside Phoenix, Arizona and the location for the opening round of the 2011 Gatorz Challenge of the Americas. The LH Rotax, LH1 and LH2 models use the latest homologated frame design and offer different profiles to meet everyone’s karting needs. All LH karts come with premium magnesium components that feature the unique Lewis Hamilton logo. Climbing aboard the Lewis Hamilton kart in 2011 will be lead driver and 2009 Western Canadian Challenge Rotax Senior Max Champion Chris Glover, who will be joined by rookie standout Daniel Burkett.
